Huntsville Fire & Rescue's Exploring program is for young people interested
in careers in fire fighting and emergency services. Exploring is an
informative, hands-on program that allows young men and women to experience
a variety of career possibilities in the Fire Services. As Explorers,
they learn important skills such as team building, CPR and First Aid, while
they lean more about a career in the Fire Service.
The following qualifications must be met
by applicants to the Explorer Program:
Must have
completed the 8th grade and be at least 14 years old, but not yet turned 21.
School
aged applicants must be enrolled in school and maintain at least a "C"
average. For students wishing to
join the Explorer program, there is an annual $10.00 registration fee.
