This study identifies the major land use classifications for the City of Huntsville as of 2004 and gives a statistical break down on the number of acres and percentages of each land use type.  It then compares the results to a land use survey completed by the City of Huntsville in 1988.  This comparison highlights trends of land use over a 16 year period.  Finally, it analyzes the recent classifications interjecting the impact of political boundaries and legislatively imposed land use controls.  For further details, refer to the publication which is available for sale in the Planning Department on the 2nd Floor of City Hall for the price of $10.00.
