|Top Geospatial and Energy Leaders to Speak at GEO-Energy Summit in Huntsville

(Huntsville, AL) -- Mayor Tommy Battle and leaders from the GEO-Energy Initiatives announced today the line up for their 2014 Summit at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center on Nov. 12-13. The focus of this year's summit is National Security and Energy Independence.
"We have a phenomenal wealth of talent in the geospatial and energy sectors in Huntsville/Tennessee Valley corridor, stretching to Oak Ridge, Tennessee," said Mayor Tommy Battle. "The GEO and Energy initiatives have capitalized on this talent, and the keynote speakers for the upcoming Summit indicate that the national and global centers recognize our value, too."
Keynote speakers for the Nov. 12-13 event include: Robert Cardillo, newly appointed director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA); Amanda Simpson, executive director of the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives; Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield, Jr., chairman of the Stimson Center, a non-partisan think-tank; and Mark Reichardt, president and chief executive officer of the Open Geospatial Consortium.
