City of Huntsville self-reports incident to the Alabama Ethics Commission

HUNTSVILLE, AL (May 11, 2011) -- As a result of an internal after-action review, the City of Huntsville has self-reported one incident to the Alabama Ethics Commission for review.
The internal review was conducted as part of an ongoing after-action process following the severe weather events of April 27th, 2011.
The incident involved the improper dispensing of less than 10 gallons of city gasoline in the aftermath of the storms.
The value of the gasoline has been repaid to the City of Huntsville.
With the Alabama Ethics Committee considering this an on-going investigation all witnesses are bound to the same secrecy as found in Grand Jury investigations.
