Super Retriever Series Returns to Huntsville Huntsville, AL - November 3-6 |
Huntsville, AL --- The Huntsville Sports Commission to host the Super Retriever Series Classic November
3-6, 2011. The Super Retriever Series consist of scenarios to include field trials, hunt test and hunting
savvy skills. These events will be held at two locations during the three day event. Cove Park in Hampton
Cove will be the location of the first series on November 3-4. The second and third series will be held on
Jones Farm, located on Garth Road.
The Super V and Super Fly events, which feature dogs jumping for height and distance, will be held
November 4-6 at Valley Bend Shopping Center, in the parking lot in front of Marshalls Department Store.
Between the Super V and Super Fly events, the HSC will host the 41st Alabama State Duck Calling
contest, with three divisions competing for top honors. Winners of the Open Division qualify to
participate in the World Duck Calling Championships in Stuttgart, AK November 26, 2011.
"This event is a great opportunity to showcase Huntsville and the outstanding natural resources we have
for outdoor sports" said Ralph Stone, Executive Director of the Huntsville Sports Commission.
The Huntsville Sports Commission's mission is to identify, recruit, promote, and stage sporting events in
the City of Huntsville to boost economic impact. The Sports Commission has hosted over 300 events
with an estimate economic impact of $108 million since its creation in 1999.
