Annual Women in Music Week (Sept. 12-21) to amplify women’s voices across the Rocket City

Published on September 8, 2025

Returning for its seventh year as a marquee event of Huntsville Music Month, Women in Music Week (WIMW) returns Sept. 12-21 with a vibrant lineup showcasing the creative talents of over 50 women in the music industry at stages citywide.

The week kicks off Friday, Sept. 12, with the Love Jones WIMW Kickoff Showcase at The Electric Belle featuring Carvena with Alisha, Canderiah and Zami Mare.

“This year, the impact of WIMW is bigger than ever,” Huntsville Music Office Matt Mandrella said. “We’ve doubled the number of events compared to last year, giving audiences even more opportunities to experience the power of women’s artistry on stage and behind the scenes.”

“The collaboration with the Huntsville Music Office has significantly expanded the event’s scope, transforming it from a weekend celebration into a week-long extravaganza,” Johnson said. “This expansion has enabled us to amplify our reach and showcase an even greater lineup of artists.”
