The City of Huntsville and the William Hooper Councill High School Alumni Association are hosting a Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, December 14, at 1 p.m. Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the first floor auditorium of the Huntsville Public Library, 915 Monroe Street, 35801.
The City will be constructing a new park on the site of the former historic school at 620 St. Clair Avenue, which is next door to the downtown Public Library.
