Ever wondered what that mushroom is in your yard, near your tree or growing on your tree? Learn all about mushrooms that we avoid and ones that have nutritional value during this Saturdays at Hays DIY Workshop. Rhonda Britton with The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will show how to identify mushrooms. Those who want to grow mushrooms at home will leave with a log inoculated with the spores for growing Shiitake Mushrooms.
Workshop is free. Reservations are required and limited. Reservation deadline is September 27. Email denise.taylor@huntsvilleal.gov to register.
Saturdays at Hays is planned for adults. Children with adults may observe.
