Geo Huntsville Summit 2017

The annual GEO Huntsville Summit 2017! and Expedition Hack Event will take place over three days, February 25-27, to coincide with Innovate Huntsville Week.

On Saturday/Sunday, February 25-26, GEO Huntsville will team with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to host the Expedition Hack Event at the DesignLabs at Lincoln Mill. Software developers, designers and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate. The event is designed to foster new solutions in emergency management that will bring together multiple stakeholders including technology, business, behavioral change and design thinking. On Monday, Feb. 27, the GEO Huntsville Summit 2017! will convene at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s Educational Training Facility. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by remarks at 8 a.m. from Mayor Tommy Battle along with the results of the hack event.

Summit Sessions include presentations on unmanned aircraft systems, a review of GEO Huntsville’s Blueprint for Safety, and a discussion on open data policy.  TechVet will provide an opportunity to learn how the local geospatial community is engaged in delivering new innovations to those who need it most. A panel discussion with investors, innovators, and funding agencies will discuss new ways to promote opportunities for private companies.
