Making Connections – Exploring Hays Nature Preserve

These free guided hikes are in offered partnership with Making Connections. We are excited to offer these sessions for special needs individuals in our community.
Each session will be held 11am-Noon.

September 18 (Rescheduled from September 11)
Enjoy learning more about nature by exploring beautiful Hays Nature Preserve. Guided hikes with different topics will be offered during each session. We will wrap up the fun with a craft based on our topic.
Bring lunch for a picnic if you’d like to stay and enjoy the playground and trails a little longer.
Reserve your spot for one or all of these planned outings. Each registered participant should bring their favorite available adult to join in on the fun. Email denise.taylor@huntsvilleal.gov to register.
Don’t forget to bring water to stay hydrated. Sunscreen and your preferred insect repellent are suggested also. Wear shoes that you don’t mind getting wet, just in case.
