The City of Huntsville’s greenway network is growing! Please join us for a project update at the Meek greenway site on Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. on the campus of Alabama A & M University. This 1.65-mile segment is slated to run from the A&M campus to Sparkman Drive/US Highway 72 East. It will serve as a key connection in bridging North Huntsville neighborhoods to the City’s greenway network. Opal Meek, for whom the greenway is named, will be recognized by District 1 (D1) City Council Member Devyn Keith for decades of leadership advocacy for high quality, safe and connected neighborhoods.
