Special Public Meeting – City Council

The City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, September 28 at 5 p.m., in the first floor Council Chambers of Huntsville City Hall, 308 Fountain Circle, Huntsville, Alabama 35801.

The Council will meet for the purpose of, among other things, considering the adoption of an ordinance (i) authorizing the execution and delivery of a First Supplemental Lease Agreement (the “Supplemental Lease”) between the City and The Public Building Authority of the City of Huntsville (the “PBA”) and certain related agreements and documents pertaining to the PBA Bonds hereinafter described and (ii) approving the terms and conditions of said PBA Bonds. 

The PBA proposes to issue its Lease Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2017 (the “PBA Bonds”), for the purpose of (i) refunding, for annual debt service savings, the PBA’s Municipal Justice and Public Safety Center Lease Revenue Capital Improvement and Refunding Bonds, Series 2007, dated September 18, 2007, which were issued to finance the costs of improvements to a building for lease to and use by the City as a municipal justice and public safety facility, and (ii) paying the costs of issuance of said Series 2017 Bonds.
