The Huntsville Environmental Sustainability Committee will hold a public meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Stone Event Center Cafeteria at Campus No. 805, 2620 Clinton Ave. W. The public is invited to provide input regarding factors that can contribute to long-term environmental sustainability in the metro Huntsville area.
Join Green Team and Land Trust of North Alabama at Wade Mountain (6998 Pulaski Pike NW #6946) to plant a tree on Saturday, October 29. Tree planting will take place from 9am to 12:00pm. City of Huntsville municipal offices, including Municipal Court, will close Friday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14. The City of Huntsville’s municipal offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, for all non-essential personnel in observance of New Year's. The City will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 8 a.m.

Operation Christmas Cleanup will recycle your “undressed” tree along with plain cardboard boxes, batteries and old electronics at no cost to you.
