SUMMARY:September 11th Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Police Department and Huntsville Fire and Rescue will be hosting a ceremony in remembrance of the fallen from the attacks of September 11\, 2001. The event will be held at the Huntsville Police Departments West Precinct/ Fire station 1 at 2110 Clinton Avenue West Huntsville\, Alabama 35805. The Huntsville Police Command and Staff as well as Madison County Sheriff Blake Dorning will be present. This ceremonial event will be held in conjunction with Huntsville Fire and Rescue and HEMSI. A moment of silence will be observed as well as a sounding of the sirens from emergency personnel at approximately 7:45 am\, which is the time the first World Trade Center tower was attacked. \nThis event is open to the public as well as the media. If you are unable to attend at this location\, Huntsville Fire and Rescue will be holding a similar event at each of their fire stations throughout the city of Huntsville.
