DESCRIPTION:City of Huntsville Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday\, Jan. 19\, for Martin Luther King\, Jr. Day. This includes Animal Services\, Public Transit and Municipal Court. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday\, Jan. 20. \n\nGarbage Collection: Residential collection will be delayed one day. Residents should leave carts at the curb until they are collected.\nParks & Recreation: Get-A-Way Skate Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Kid’s Space from 8 a.m. to one hour after sunset. All other facilities will be closed.\nPublic Safety: Essential police and fire personnel will remain on duty throughout the holiday.

SUMMARY:Oververt Challenge and Free Skate Clinic
DESCRIPTION:From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, the Oververt Challenge will take over the ¾ pipe with an open skate jam\, featuring several pro skaters. Skaters can register from 9:30-10:30 a.m. to participate in the jam\, where they’ll have a chance to win cash prizes and other giveaways.\nA skate clinic will take place from 1-2:30 p.m. following the Oververt Challenge and will provide an opportunity for skaters to learn from some of the best in the sport. USA Women Olympians Bryce Wettstein and Jordyn Barratt will lead the clinic\, offering their expertise and skills to help skaters of all levels improve.\nMore information here.
