DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council (HPCAC) will explore policies and facts surrounding “use of force” during a public forum on Monday\, Nov. 14\, at 5:30 p.m. at the Dr. Richard Showers Sr. Recreation Center\, 4600 Blue Spring Road\, 35810. \nIn this session\, HPCAC members and police officers will talk about decision-making involved when officers must determine whether to use force and what that force might look like. Police will also explain how law enforcement training prepares officers to determine the appropriate response based upon the severity of the perceived threat. \nThe Nov. 14 public forum is the last in a series of informational sessions hosted this year by the HPCAC. Each session includes roundtable discussions between the public\, police officers and HPCAC members.
