Temporary Lane Closures: Old Madison Pike at Research Park Boulevard
Published on January 19, 2020
Weather permitting; beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, contractors will begin shifting traffic on Old Madison Pike at Research Park Boulevard to the south side for bridge construction to begin as part of the Research Park Boulevard Improvement project. A new bridge at Old Madison Pike will be staged constructed to allow one lane of traffic in each direction (2-lanes) across the bridge between January 2020 to mid-2021.
All access ramps will remain open during the bridge construction. Northbound traffic on Research Park Boulevard exiting to Old Madison Pike heading west to Cummings Research Park will be converted to a free-flow movement to minimize stacking of traffic on Research Park Boulevard and I-565. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion in the area.
