To celebrate and preserve Huntsville’s historic structures and heritage while practicing safe social distancing, the City of Huntsville and Huntsville Historic Preservation Commission (HHPC) is celebrating Preservation Month with an all-digital #ThisPlaceMattersHsv campaign in May.
Join us on Friday, May 22 @ 2pm for an Instagram Live with City Preservation Planner Katie Stamps and Tammy Cooney, Chief Programs Officer and Courtney Little, Educator at Burritt on the Mountain as they chat about the educational programs and history of Burritt’s Rosenwald School.
Because more people are staying at home to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Katie and Tammy will chat from dual locations.
We can’t wait to learn more about the fascinating history of the Rosenwald School, and the creative ways Burritt on the Mountain has adapted to the challenges faced by educational spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic.
