COVID-19 viewpoint: Dr. Neil Lamb on the frontline of the pandemic

The Huntsville-area COVID-19 leadership team is hosting a Zoom conversation on Monday, January 11, at 2 p.m., with Dr. Neil Lamb, Vice President for Educational Outreach, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.
Dr. Lamb will discuss new virus variants (like the United Kingdom and South African variants), updates on treatments such as the benefit of convalescent plasma, and vaccine information on side effects like anaphylaxis, the theories about extending the length between 1st and 2nd dose in order to increase the number of people who could receive an initial dose, and additional vaccine candidates in the pipeline (Oxford/AstraZeneca, Johnson and Johnson, Novavax ,etc.).
