In Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 the Huntsville Police Department, Huntsville Fire and Rescue, HEMSI and Mayor Tommy Battle will be participating in a ceremony to remember those who died from the attacks of September 11, 2001.
The event will be held at the Huntsville Police Departments West Precinct/ Fire station 1. The Huntsville Police Command and Staff will be present.
A moment of silence will be observed as well as a sounding of the sirens from emergency personnel at approximately 7:46 a.m., which is the time the first World Trade Center tower was attacked. The remembrance will be observed at all HFR stations simultaneously.
This event is open to media and the public.
