Mayor Tommy Battle will join Healthy Huntsville partners at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology on Tuesday, January 21, at 10 a.m., in the Wayne R. Widener Auditorium to officially kick off Scale Back Alabama.
Scale Back Alabama is a free program that encourages teams of two to lose weight (a goal of 10 pounds each) from the end of January to the beginning of April. The teams must register to participate, as well as weigh-in and weigh-out at the same location. Since the first challenge in 2007, Alabamians have lost more than one million pounds.
WHO: Mayor Battle and Healthy Huntsville team leaders from Huntsville Parks & Recreation, Huntsville Hospital, HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, Madison County Department of Public Health and Huntsville City Schools.
