HPD 72nd Academy Session Graduation

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) invites the community to attend the graduation ceremony for the 72nd Academy Session on Thursday, July 3, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering, located at 229 Wynn Dr. NW.

Cathy Stender, President of Woody Anderson Ford, will deliver the keynote address.

This graduation marks the completion of 20 weeks of intensive training, as cadets officially transition into field training and active service. These new officers represent HPD’s ongoing commitment to develop a department that reflects Huntsville’s diverse and dynamic community.

HPD employs nearly 700 sworn and civilian personnel, all dedicated to upholding the department’s core values: courage, integrity and professionalism.
