The Huntsville-area COVID-19 team will hold a news conference and community briefing at 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, in the 1st floor City Council Chambers of Huntsville City Hall. EMA Director Jeff Birdwell will update the public on vaccination numbers and positive COVID-19 cases, while Huntsville Hospital Senior VP of Operations Tracy Doughty will discuss ongoing vaccination efforts.
Huntsville pediatrician Dr. Kelli Stringer will address apprehension over the vaccination of school-aged children, and Dr. Clarence Sutton of Huntsville City Schools will talk about the school system’s efforts to return to the classroom this fall.
