Community Mentorship Program
Become a Mentor
Interested in shaping the next generation of leaders? The Community Mentorship Program pairs members of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council with respected leaders from across Huntsville’s business, government, nonprofit and education sectors. Mentors serve as role models and guides, offering encouragement, civic insight, and leadership perspective. Through monthly check-ins and participation in Council activities, mentors help students grow in confidence, expand their networks, and strengthen their commitment to public service and community impact.
Mentor Responsibilities
- Provide encouragement and professional/civic guidance.
- Attend 2–3 Youth Council events or sessions.
- Share life experiences and insights relevant to civic and leadership development.
