Open Enrollment
Streamlined Open Enrollment for 2021
In recognition of the social distancing restrictions due to COVID-19, the City of Huntsville’s Open Enrollment processes have been modified this year to accommodate virtual options to learn more about benefits available to you. By now, you should have received a physical Open Enrollment package for complete details and instructions. If you have not, please contact your supervisor or the Human Resources Department.
Here are key highlights:
- Open Enrollment will begin Monday, October 19.
- There will be NO in-person meetings and NO help desk enrollment events this year.
- Each employee’s current benefits will be auto re-enrolled for 2021 (with the exception of flexible spending accounts).
- New or renewed Flexible Spending Accounts, benefit/dependent changes, and the life insurance buy-up, will still require a paper enrollment form.
- Don’t forget to return your completed signed Tobacco Use Certification form by the open enrollment deadline of November 6.
- Open Enrollment will end on Friday, November 6.
