The City of Huntsville’s municipal offices will be closed for all non-essential personnel on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, and reopen on Tuesday, January 21.

Garbage Collection: Monday’s residential curbside collection will be picked up on Tuesday, January 21. Households whose normal garbage pick-up day is on Thursday will have their garbage collected on Friday, January 24.

Public Transit:  Shuttle bus and paratransit service (Handi-Ride) will not be in service on Monday, January 20. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, January 21.

Parks & Recreation:  Recreation centers and facilities will be closed on Monday, January 20, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 21.

Animal Services:  The Animal Shelter and Animal Services will be closed on Monday, January 20, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 21.

Municipal Court:  Municipal Court will be closed on Monday, January 20, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 21.

Public Safety:  Police and Fire will remain on duty throughout the holiday.
