Inspection Department

The Inspection Department enforces building codes and issues building permits for the City of Huntsville.

Our goal is to provide protection for the health, safety and welfare of the general public in relation to the use and occupancy of structures by enforcement of adopted Building Codes and to protect the general public from abuse by unlicensed Contractors and sub-contractors by enforcement of Contractor Licensing Laws.
