Boom Proof Your Pet – A Community Pet Safety Event

Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) will host “Boom Proof Your Pet” on Sunday, June 14 from 2–6 p.m. at the Jaycee Building in John Hunt Park, 2180 Airport Rd. The free event helps pet owners take proactive steps to prepare and protect their pets to prevent the holiday surge of scared, lost animals during fireworks season.
The annual community event equips dog and cat owners with the tools and resources needed to keep pets safe, healthy and at home during the festivities. The event is open to Huntsville and Madison County pet owners, but attendees must register in advance, and to participate, the microchip service is REQUIRED to get any other services or supplies. If pets are already microchipped, they may attend for the additional services, but attendees still must register. Boom Proof Your Pet 2026 includes:
- Microchipping
- Collars, leashes and personalized ID tags
- Onsite DAPP vaccinations and rabies by local veterinarians
- Spay/neuter vouchers (for City of Huntsville residents only)
- Dog toys and other giveaways
- Pet Food
