Council Member Little took the oath from his father, retired Madison County Circuit Judge Loyd H. “Buddy” Little while his wife, Mimi, held the Bible.

“One thing I’ve realized is there is a great team of people at City Hall that are here to answer the calls,” Council Member Little said. “The customer service is huge, and it makes my job a lot easier. I’m looking forward to four more years and I appreciate everyone.”

Council Member Robinson took the oath from City of Huntsville Presiding Judge Lonzo Robinson while her husband, Michael, held the Bible.

“It’s about putting in the time and the hard work because you’re working with other people who share that vision,” Council Member Robinson said. “Joining others for the journey is what inspires us to keep going and having the faith to follow through and not quit, even when it gets hard. I want to thank all the people who have joined me on that journey.”

Council Member Kling took the oath from retired Madison County District Judge Martha Lynn Sherrod while his wife, Tanjie, held the Bible.

“It’s going to be a very active process to make good things happen for the district because as Huntsville grows, we’re going to make District 4 so good, so immaculate, it’s going to continue to be such a great place to live,” Council Member Kling said. “I’m really proud of where we’re going.”

Following the oath of office ceremony, the Council met in a special session to elect officers for the next year. The Council voted Council Member Little president, Council Member Robinson president pro tem and Council Member Kling third presiding officer.
