The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is mourning the loss of Officer Garrett Crumby, 36, who made the ultimate sacrifice following a shooting Tuesday, March 28. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) responded to a shooting call at 4:45 p.m. in the 4600 block of Governors House Drive. When officers arrived, a female shooting victim was located. Funding to begin Phase 2 of Huntsville’s residential street repaving plan for this fiscal year has been approved by City Council. Wiregrass Construction Company won the $5.1 million contract to improve 51 neighborhood streets within the next 10 months.
