City of Huntsville secures $21M for Holmes Avenue revamp
September 6, 2024A $21.6 million federal grant will provide significant safety enhancements along a 3.25-mile stretch of Holmes Avenue between downtown and the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville. September 4, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) charged a 16-year-old with capital murder after a shooting on Max Luther Drive at 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. An HPD officer responded to Huntsville Hospital after three gunshot victims arrived for treatment. One of the victims died at the hospital. Another victim remains in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
