The City of Huntsville’s municipal offices will be closed for all non-essential personnel on New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1, and reopen on Monday, January 4.

Garbage Collection: No schedule change for the Christmas Holiday and New Year’s period.

Public Transit: Orbit and Access Huntsville will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 24 and will not be in service on Friday, January 1. Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, January 2.

Animal Services: The shelter on 3950 Triana Boulevard will be closed Friday – Saturday, January 1-2.

Parks & Recreation: All Parks & Recreation facilities will close at 4 p.m. on December 31 and be closed New Year’s Day. Facilities will reopen January 2.
