The City of Huntsville’s Office of Multicultural Affairs invites local students and their families to attend an informational session and youth town hall about the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) on Thursday, April 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Huntsville City Hall, 6th Floor.
The session will give prospective applicants and their parents an opportunity to learn more about MYAC, ask questions about the application process, and hear directly from current cohort members about their experiences serving on the Council.
The event will also feature a Youth Town Hall, a conversation‑driven forum that elevates youth voices, strengthens connections between the community and City leadership, and gathers meaningful insights to help shape programs, policies and opportunities that better serve young people and their families.
Applications for the 2026–2027 MYAC cohort are open now through Tuesday, April 21, at 10 p.m. Students must reside in and attend school within Huntsville city limits to be eligible.
