Children ages 12 and under are invited to enjoy a morning of tie-dying, popsicles and fun on Thursday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brahan Spring Park pavilion. Bring a white T-shirt or similar item to dye. All other supplies provided. Cool off at Everybody Can Play Splash Pad.
The Wally Vess Youth Fishing Rodeo returns Saturday, June 6, from 7-10 a.m., with plenty of chances to land a great catch.
Join Mayor Tommy Battle at his annual tree planting event on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Brahan Spring Park, 2800 Drake Avenue SW, and follow signs for parking instructions. Come help plant hundreds of trees to expand the tree canopy! Green Team will be on site to help volunteers.

The annual Wally Vess Youth Fishing Rodeo, for ages 6-12, is Saturday, June 3 at Brahan Spring Park Lagoon. Registration starts at 7 a.m.. Fishing is from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to winners in multiple categories. Bring your own chairs, equipment and bait.
