Explore the City’s Treasures through “Finding Huntsville” and “Color Me, Huntsville”

Please join Mayor Tommy Battle, Historic Huntsville Foundation, and a host of representatives from the preservation community, arts community, education, Bicentennial Committee, and travel and tourism for a News Conference on Thursday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m., in front of Harrison Brothers Hardware, South Side Square in Downtown Huntsville.

Historic Huntsville Foundation will unveil two exciting projects developed for the Alabama Bicentennial. They include an activity book, “Finding Huntsville: A Kid-Friendly Field Guide to Huntsville’s Historic Architecture,” and the “Color Me, Huntsville” coloring book. The publications represent a major community-wide effort and provide new opportunities for children to interact with Huntsville’s historic assets and treasures.

WHO:  Mayor Tommy Battle, Historic Huntsville Foundation Executive Director Donna Castellano, representatives from the preservation community and Huntsville’s landmarks, City Schools, Arts Huntsville, artists and photographers, and book sponsors

WHAT:  News Conference to unveil two new Bicentennial projects

WHERE:  South Side Square, in front of Harrison Brothers Hardware. If it rains, the news conference will move inside Harrison Brothers.
