City approves contract for repaving residential streets

Funding to begin Phase 2 of Huntsville’s residential street repaving plan for this fiscal year has been approved by City Council. Grayson Carter & Son Contracting Inc. won the $6.2 million contract to improve 54 neighborhood streets within the next 10 months.
Mayor Tommy Battle’s 2023-2024 budget includes about $18 million for street improvements. Phase 1 of the repaving plan resurfaced 68 residential streets.
