Don’t trash that tree! Dispose of your live Christmas trees on Saturday, Jan. 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at either Operation Christmas Cleanup location: John Hunt Park in Huntsville (2315 Airport Road) or Madison City Schools Stadium in Madison (211 Celtic Drive).
Operation Christmas Cleanup accepts live trees, flattened cardboard boxes, batteries and electronics may be dropped off. No artificial trees, lights, ornaments, Styrofoam, packing materials, plastic bags or wrapping paper. Trees will be mulched and used by Huntsville Landscape Management in green spaces throughout the City. In case of inclement weather, this event will be held Saturday, Jan. 17.
Operation Christmas Cleanup is organized each year by Huntsville Parks and Recreation, the City of Madison, the Solid Waste Disposal Authority (SWDA), Recycling Alliance of North Alabama (RANA), Madison County, and Green Team.
