You are invited to the final public workshop regarding compatibility planning around Redstone Arsenal

For the past two years, the City of Huntsville, in cooperation with the City of Madison, Town of Triana, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties, Redstone Arsenal, and other agencies and organizations in the region, has been preparing a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) to assist in reducing current and potential compatibility issues between Redstone Arsenal and surrounding communities, while accommodating new growth and economic development, sustaining economic vitality, protecting public health and safety, and sustaining the operational missions of the Arsenal.

The Public Draft JLUS Report will be released and posted on the project website (www.redstonearsenaljlus.com) on October 15 for a 30-day review and comment period that will end on November 15. The City of Huntsville will host the final public workshop for attendees to learn about the Public Draft JLUS Report and the key compatibility findings and recommendations within it. The workshop will include brief presentation on the JLUS documents, which will also be available in hard copy format for review. Written public comments on the draft will be accepted at the open house or can be provided in writing and through the project website up until the end of the comment period. The workshop will not be recorded, so comments on the draft JLUS must be submitted in writing.

Your input is encouraged!
