Bob Wallace Avenue closure expanded to Memorial Parkway access road

Weather permitting, Bob Wallace Avenue will be closed to through traffic from the Memorial Parkway access road to the railroad track, beginning at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9.

Traffic will continue to be closed at the railroad crossing, though L&N Drive will remain open. The intersection of Bob Wallace and Merchants Way will be closed for a signal upgrade that will improve vehicle and pedestrian safety. Crews will also work on the tracks that cross Bob Wallace Avenue.

Control measures will detour traffic to Drake Avenue and Whitesburg Drive. Drivers can enter businesses from Merchants Walk, L&N Drive and Memorial Parkway access roads.
