Church Street north of Pratt Avenue to close temporarily

Weather permitting, the City of Huntsville will close approximately 200 feet of Church Street north of Pratt Avenue for drainage and road reconstruction starting at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4. The closure will be in place until 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.

Simultaneously, the new intersection at Church Street/Hundley Drive and Pratt Avenue will open to traffic. There will be one lane in each direction for both streets with each having left and right turn lanes.

Detour routes will be in place for the road closure. Motorists should use Hundley Drive or Pearl, Conception or Cook avenues to avoid the work area. Drivers can enter businesses within the work zone from the north side along Church Street or Pratt Avenue.
