Franklin Street closure for sanitary sewer improvements

Weather permitting, beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 28 and again on Monday, Aug. 31, contractors will close Franklin Street SE between Gates Avenue and Williams Avenue SE. The road closure will begin at 8 a.m. each morning and will remain closed until 5 p.m. in the evening. The closure is necessary for crews to make sanitary sewer improvements in the area.

Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Traffic control, as well as road closure signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Motorists need to obey all traffic control devices. Please see attached road closure map for details.
