Intersection to close for South Parkway overpass work

The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect Logan Drive and Lily Flagg Road to be closed to through and left-turning traffic at South Memorial Parkway (U.S. 231/Alabama 53) on Friday, Nov. 17, for two to three hours, beginning about 8 a.m., while workers pour concrete on the bridge deck.

The inside travel lane of the southbound South Memorial Parkway service road will be closed at the intersection.

The left turn lanes on both service roads will be closed.

Eastbound traffic on Logan Drive and westbound traffic on Lily Flagg Road will only be able to turn right onto the service roads, which may require some motorists to make a U-turn at the next intersection. \
