The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect intermittent closures of the inside lanes of the northbound and southbound South Memorial Parkway (U.S. 231/Alabama 53) service roads between Whitesburg Drive and Golf Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 19, and Friday, July 20, for milling and paving operations.
Please expect delays and plan accordingly.
UPDATE: This lane closure has been canceled due to rain. Weather permitting, they will do the work tomorrow (Tuesday, July 17) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Only the inside lane of the northbound service road between Byrd Spring Road and Golf Road will be closed.

Weather permitting, the existing two westbound left turn lanes will be reduced to a single westbound left turn lane at the Lee High Drive and Oakwood Ave intersection on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at approximately 9:00 a.m.
Additionally, the operation of the existing eastbound and westbound left turn signals on Oakwood Ave will be changed from the 5-Section style, as shown here:
They will be replaced with 4-Section style indications, with a Flashing Yellow Left Turn Arrow, as shown here:

The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that the inside lane of the northbound South Memorial Parkway (U.S. 231/Alabama 53) service road will be closed from Whitesburg Drive to north of Logan Drive/Lily Flagg Road for guardrail installation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.
Please expect delays and plan accordingly.
On Wednesday, July 11 between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., Old Railroad Bed Road, just north of US Highway 72, will be temporarily closed for utility work associated with the intersection improvement project.
Standard traffic control devises, flagmen and police will be in place to assist motorists. Motorists are requested to take alternate routes and avoid this area.

Weather permitting, beginning the week of July 9, 2018, Reed Contracting will be installing a raised median on Cecil Ashburn Drive east of Bailey Cove Road.
Some lane closures will be necessary. Motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signs and pavement markings.

Weather permitting, on Wednesday, June 27, beginning at approximately 9 a.m., the intersection of Garth Road and Toney Drive will be modified to operate as an “All-Way” Stop-Controlled intersection

Beginning Monday, July 2, 9:30 A.M.
Powell Road, north of Old Highway 20 to Powell Road (existing substation site) will be closed beginning on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. to all traffic for development activities.
Local access will be maintained from the north side of Powell Road. Traffic control signs will be in place to advise motorist to use Old Hwy 20 to Segers Road then to Powell Road for future access in the area.
