Join Healthy Huntsville and Mayor Tommy Battle for a walk at Huntsville Botanical Garden to kick off the 2017 Mayor’s 100 Days – 100 Miles Walking Challenge.
The Botanical Gardens is providing free entrance for this event starting at 5:30 p.m. We’ll be walking with “Fidos After Five,” so feel free to bring your leashed dog to join us. Huntsville Animal Services will also have adoptable dogs and volunteers at the event.
The Mayor’s Walking Challenge is to complete 100 miles in 100 days, starting August 23 and ending November 30. Use Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama‘s Walking Works program at walkingworks.com to track your miles. Participants that complete the 100 miles in 100 days will be entered into a drawing for free Fitbits.
