Old Madison Pike bridge work to require temporary lane closures

The planned installation of girders on the Old Madison Pike bridge at Research Park Boulevard will affect traffic patterns from 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, to 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7.

Weather permitting, northbound lanes of Research Park Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane, while southbound lanes will be closed for 10-minute intervals. Traffic in both directions on Old Madison Pike will also be temporarily interrupted for 15-minute intervals.

Motorists should use caution when traveling in the area or take alternate routes. Traffic control will be in place as work occurs. For more information, contact Alan Clements with City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering, 256-427-5300.
