Portion of Monroe Street to temporarily close for infrastructure improvements

Weather permitting, two northbound lanes of Monroe Street in downtown Huntsville will temporarily close for stormwater sewer improvements starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, through 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. The lanes will close again from 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, through 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
The affected portion is between the intersection of Monroe Street Southwest/Heart of Huntsville Drive and just before the intersection of Clinton Avenue. Motorists should take alternate routes. Traffic control and signage will be in place during the closure.
