Traffic Control Changes to Intersections of Governors Dr and Clinton, Governors Dr and Triana Blvd.

Published on January 24, 2017

Please be advised –Weather permitting, beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2017, changes will be made to the traffic control at the two intersections of Governors Drive and Clinton Avenue, and Governors Drive and Triana Boulevard.  Work will continue until complete.

Governors Drive and Clinton Avenue

Existing left turn signals for eastbound and westbound on Governors Drive will be changed from the 3-Section style, as shown here:

They will be replaced with a 4-Section style indication, with a Flashing Yellow Left Turn Arrow, as shown here:

Additionally, the eastbound dual left-turn bay will be restriped and converted to a single, eastbound left-turn lane.  Motorists will benefit from an increase in both width and length of the new eastbound left turn lane.

Triana Boulevard and Governors Drive

Westbound left turns will no longer be permitted. Traffic signing and pavement markings will indicate this restriction.  Motorists traveling eastbound on Governors Drive, who wish to turn left onto Triana Boulevard, can instead turn left at either Clinton Avenue or 8th Street.

Motorists are advised to use caution and obey all traffic control signs and signals at this location.
