Geographic Information System

The City of Huntsville uses GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to view and plot place-based data to make it available for the public. View zoning maps, property information maps, planning viewer maps, lot boundary maps and more by visiting HuntsvilleAL.gov/GIS.

Housed in the City’s Planning Department, the GIS division supports all municipal departments as the authority on geospatial technology and GIS software. The division provides technical support to personnel who use GIS and serves as the repository of geographic data for the City.
