The City of Huntsville employs approximately 2,400 full-time employees and approximately 365 part-time employees engaged in various areas of public service including public safety, managerial, technical, clerical, skilled and general labor.
Human Resources supports the development and interpretation of policies and procedures, recruitment, retention, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), training and development, salary administration, position classification, benefits, workers’ compensation, employee assistance program, health and wellness, performance evaluations, etc.
