City of Huntsville municipal offices will close Friday, June 19, for Juneteenth. This includes Animal Services, Huntsville Transit and Municipal Court. Residential garbage collection will not be affected. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 22. The City of Huntsville approved two contracts for roadwork projects in the second phase of the 2026 fiscal year resurfacing budget. Rogers Group was awarded the bid for residential street resurfacing for $4,985,450. Lambert Contracting LLC will handle concrete improvements and ADA upgrades under a contract worth $3,465,877.
